POULAN PRO 455

This is the same as the Pioneer P45.  Look at the Pioneer P45 for a bit more on the actual saw description.  Here I am just going to carry on about the lack of attention this saw gets and exploit the true beast it is!!

This came from Yreka Oregon, from an older guy that bought the saw as a felling saw but never was used on the job as the owner provided the saws. He ended up using it primarily as a firewood saw.  The saw has been used and is evident by the brake handle and assembly being ditched right from the get go.  Start by slapping a 20"-24" bar on these saws and destroy the pile of logs that been hanging around out back you just don't ever seem to get around to cutting into firewood!   This saw will shine!   Then to go full circle and put a 28-32" bar with semi-skip full chisel and go after those logs at your buddies house that are to large for your other saws that you peck away at when you run low on firewood in the fall!   This saw never did see the use or acclaim I feel it should have for what it is and when it was built/developed.   A bit heavier than a Stihl 460 or Husqvarna 372 but it has a bit more torque than a 460 and is as quick if not a bit faster off the trigger than a 372. Keep in mind this is my opinion and my opinion is clouded by the liking of more vintage saws!I  I recommend running one if ever the chance arrives!!
